ECG works with all clients interested in pursuing ambulatory surgery center (ASC) opportunities. We support leadership with developing, refining, and implementing ASC planning, via deep analytics and our comprehensive understanding of ASC regulations, payment policies, surgery migration, operations, development, and reimbursement. We also work with hospital leaders who want to optimize their surgical and procedural sites of service across a health system, which may include converting a hospital outpatient department (HOPD) to an ASC. 

We evaluate surgery and procedures across all sites of service and determine surgery migration factors and ASC eligibility. We assess case mix, payer mix, financial implications, and other factors that may impact migration to an outpatient setting. We also support hospitals and health systems with performing due diligence on ASC acquisitions and joint ventures, payer contracting, and ASC management structures.
